RB Leipzig vs Eintracht Frankfurt

RB Leipzig haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 11 competitive outings across all competitions, while the same is true of Frankfurt’s last 9. A sequence of 4 consecutive stalemates between these sides was snapped in September 2022 and there hasn’t been a drawn H2H since, with whichever team was at home winning the 3 subsequent meetings.

Egyptian star Omar Marmoush has been the visitors’ standout player this season with 7 goals and 3 assists in the league. This will be the first match he misses while away at AFCON.

Newcastle vs Man City

The Magpies’ superb home record is likely to come under severe scrutiny from the champions. Only Aston Villa and Liverpool have picked up more EPL points on their own turf this season, but City boast the joint-best record on the road.

Pep Guardiola’s visitors have won 5 matches on the bounce since a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace. Newcastle have lost 5 of their last 6 in the league, including each of the last 3.

Athletic Bilbao vs Real Sociedad

Athletic are in 4th and eyeing out a Champions League finish. Their neighbours are unbeaten in 12 matches overall and in their last 10 on the road, although they have drawn 4 of their last 5 across all venues. The hosts haven’t lost any of their last 9 at San Mamés, so this really is a clash between two of Spain’s toughest teams to beat.

Home team legend Iñaki Williams will miss the game while on AFCON duty with Ghana; he has 8 league goals this term. Younger brother Nico, who represents Spain, has 5 league assists this season.

Man Utd vs Tottenham

The Red Devils have lost 9 of their 20 league games this season; only the current bottom 6 and Fulham have lost more EPL clashes this term. Visitors Spurs will have to do without captain and talisman Son Heung-min, who’s away with South Korea at the Asian Cup.

Tottenham’s last league win at Old Trafford was in October 2020, and it was a memorable 1-6 scoreline that day. Having won 5 of their last 6 matches, they should travel with confidence.

Lens vs PSG

PSG have built a healthy 5-point lead at the summit of Ligue 1 with just a single defeat after 17 rounds, overcoming a shaky start to win 9 of their final 10 league games before the break.

Last season’s runners-up Lens lost out on the title to PSG by a single point in 2022/23 but they’re now 14 points adrift of the champions and in 7th place. They have won their last 4 Ligue 1 home matches though, so shouldn’t be taken lightly.

AC Milan vs Roma

José Mourinho’s Roma have been patchy in Serie A lately, winning 2, losing 2 and drawing 2 in the most recent 6-game sample.

Evergreen Milan striker Olivier Giroud has the second-most goal involvements in the division so far this season (9 goals, 5 assists) and, writing ahead of their midweek cup tie with Atalanta, the Rossoneri had scored at least twice in 7 of their last 8 matches across all competitions.
